Cemeteries

The City of Lamar Cemetery Department offers two beautiful and well-maintained cemetery properties with WPA-era entrances.

  • Fairmount Cemetery located at 224 Sage Dr (Sage and Memorial Drive) is 17.38 acres and has a veterans section
  • Riverside Cemetery is our historic cemetery and is located at 1009 E Maple St with 13.20 acres

Plots are available at both cemeteries. Cemetery services include opening and closing grave sites, setting foundations for headstones, and routine maintenance of the grounds. Maintenance of the cemetery sites involves mowing, trimming, fertilizing, watering and caring for trees and shrubs.

Both cemeteries are peaceful retreats where family and friends can visit and remember loved ones.
