(May 29, 2025) The City of Lamar is proud to announce that its 2025 Crossroads HORIZON Comprehensive Plan has entered the final review phase.

Community members are strongly encouraged to review the final draft of the plan, which incorporates input from residents, city staff, elected officials, and key stakeholder groups. The plan and its associated document include the Summary Plan, 3 Mile Plan, Housing Assessment, and Economic Assessment. The documents are available for public review online at www.ci.lamar.co.us/community-development and will be available in-person at the Clerk’s Office within the next few days.

On May 21st, the Planning & Zoning Commission approved and adopted the plan, recommending it for adoption by the City Council. The City council approved a resolution adopting the City’s new comprehensive plan and its components at the City Council meeting on Monday, May 27th.

Fully web accessible and Spanish translation versions of the plan components will be available after full adoption of the plan by the Lamar City Council.
